Annotation Fever! – Exhibition and Workshops

I projektet undersöks hur fotografiskt material kan omvandlas till träningsdata för generativ AI, samt de estetiska, etiska och politiska frågor som uppstår i processen. Utställningen och workshoparna genomförs med stöd från Göteborgs Stad och är en del av Iconologies of AI, utvecklat och presenterat av konstnärerna Klara Källström, Thobias Fäldt och Thomas Sauvin tillsammans med medieteoretikern Bernard Dionysius Geoghegan. Projektet är ett samarbete mellan Göteborgs forskningsinfrastruktur för digital humaniora, Institutionen för tillämpad IT och HDK-Valand vid Göteborgs universitet.

The project explores how photographic material can be transformed into training data for generative AI, along with the aesthetic, ethical, and political questions that emerge in the process. The exhibition and workshops are supported by the City of Gothenburg and form part of Iconologies of AI, developed and presented by artists Klara Källström, Thobias Fäldt, and Thomas Sauvin, together with media theorist Bernard Dionysius Geoghegan. The project is a collaboration between the Gothenburg Research Infrastructure for Digital Humanities, the Department of Applied IT, and HDK-Valand at the University of Gothenburg.
